Dean originally committed to the Bruins but backed off of that committed after UCLA underwent a change in head coaches. Now Dean, rated by Rivals.com as the fourth best runningback in Texas, is ready to head to Los Angeles to continue his football career.
“It feels good,” said Dean. “I’m excited about and happy and satisfied with my decision.”
Dean said when he told new UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel of his decision, Neuheisel replied,”It’s game time.”

The Times’ UCLA football beat writer, Chris Foster, reported today that four-star running back Aundre Dean of Katy HS (Katy, Tx.) has confirmed his commitment to attend UCLA.

I wonder if anyone knows the inside scoop on what happened with the in home visit to Darrell Scott. Wonder what the conversation was like when CRN and DW walked in to the living room to see some schmuck from Texas there. I hope CRN took one look and turned around to walk out the door. What I wouldn’t have paid to been a fly on a wall in there!!!
Why in the world would a So Cal player look at the Big 12 so closely…SEC okay…but Big 12? I have heard his “uncle” plays at Colorado so that makes some sense. Not wishing D Scott any bad stuff…but he’ll regret not playing for the coaching staff and great insitution that is UCLA.
BTW, saw the new strength coach working out some players today on campus…and I think Norm Chow poked his head on Spaulding Field as well. Exciting stuff…
