I haven’t been in front of a computer much over the past 48 hours, so I apologize for the lack of updates. That being said, there was something I wanted to discuss real quick…
Coach Wooden slipped and fell in his condo today and fractured his wrist as well as his collarbone. Accordng to his family, however, he’s in good spirits. I’m sure I speak for all bruin fans when I say we hope for a speedy recovery. I was talking to my buddy Alan of baseballmastermind.com and he said something really interesting about Coach Wooden. To be 97 years old and maintain the mental acuity that bruins fans have come to know and cherish is truly remarkable. When some first hear Coach do an interview, they might have have presumed a 97 year old man might not be able to be focused, or to be witty, or to you make you stutter at the brilliance of his words. Though aging inevitably takes its toll on many sharp minds, Wooden’s has transcended such affliction. As Alan suggested, it’s a testament to how sharp the man’s mind is. I thought it was a brilliant point.
