Okay, so yesterday I had a post where I completely ripped on the Gambler’stelevision.com guy for saying that UCLA would easily overcome Texas A & M. Well, I’m actually going to throw out my picks and check back to see how they match up with his. If he gets more than me…well…he’s a freakin “professional” gambler, he’s supposed to. If I get more, than he’s pathetic and I will rip on him, his slicked-back lavinesque hair, and his pseudo-las-vegas-strip-but-I-really-film-all-these-in-Newark background (Kudos to Molson for that gem). It’s a win, win, situation for me.

My Picks and why:
Washington State vs. North Carolina (-7.5). This is a tough one. Wazzu is playing their best basketball of the year, but so is UNC. UNC’s actually been whooping some serious ass, winning by 30 points in both their first round games…but UNC hasn’t played a defense like Wazzu. Wazzu, then again, hasn’t played an O like UNC’s. This is going to be a fantastic game either way. I’m going to have to go with Wazzu covering 7.5. UNC is the only major power to not have had a close game yet in the tournament.

Louisville vs. Tennesse (+2.5) Louisville is playing some serious ball and Tennessee squeaked by their last two games. Bruce Pearl keeps changing stuff around too, which doesn’t exactly project confidence in his players. I’m going to have to go with the man in the white suit.

West Virginia vs. Xavier(+1)
I really don’t know enough about these two teams to make a prediction. But WVA is playing like a team possessed and I think they are dangerous.

Western Kentucky vs. UCLA (-12.5)
I’m not even touching this one.
So, those are my first 4. I’ll do the second 4 later. Yeah, I cheated on the UCLA one. Sue me.

I actually like UNC minus the points. They are absolutely dominating right now and I don’t think WSU can hang with their athleticism.
Everything else I completely agree with. I need Michigan State, Xavier, and Wisconsin for my office pool. Not really feeling any of those teams right now.
